Biodiversity Talk

The boys and girls in Ms Carr’s 4th class and Ms Rowan’s 3rd class had a talk on biodiversity yesterday with Meath Biodiversity. The children were looking at and naming mini beasts found in our environment. The children thoroughly enjoyed themselves and have gained plenty of new knowledge on biodiversity in our schools.

The girls Gaelic football team took part in Cumann na mBunscol this year and did us all proud. They played excellently in all their games and never gave up! Well done to them all and we look forward to more games in the future.

Damien Sheridan is the school's new GAA coach. He is in the school weekly with the children practising GAA skills.

The boys and girls took part in the Cumann na mBunscol Cross Country on Wednesday, November 22nd. They trained very hard beforehand and even gave up some of their break times.

The boys and girls GAA teams have done the school proud in the Cumann na mBunscol competition this year. They put in a tremendous amount of effort against some very tough opponents.

Soccer coaching will begin after school in January.

Well done to the girls team who took part in the Meath Cumann na mBunscol in Fairyhouse.  The girls ran a distance of 1200m against a lot of other schools.  They performed excellently and we are all very proud of them.

Walterstown Girls Senior Team who won the  County Junior A Championship recently and will now move to Intermediate Level which is a HUGE achievement.  The girls visited St Stephen's with their Silverware on Wednesday 25 October to great excitement from the school staff and children.

Congratulations Walterstown Ladies.
